I watched a little over half of the Democratic Presidential debate in NH last night, and I thought they did well on the whole. Mike Gravel was still entertaining, Kucinich was still clueless, and Richardson was still doing a poor Bill Clinton Impression.
Hillary and Obama were dueling to be liked the best, and Edwards was trying to rain on both their parades. Admittedly, it is hard for me to tell if he succeeded, because I'm not exactly his target audience at this point.
I will say that Obama stumbled a lot, though I think he did well overall, and Hillary made a mistake by mentioning the futile missiles her husband tried to blow up bin Laden with. I think Edwards is the most inconsistant, and also comes off as the most "political" and least sincere of the entire field.
The highlight for me, however was Joe Biden's outbursts about Darfur. Not only is a Joe Biden outburst consistantly some of the best entertainment on television, but I think he's right. The
Janjaweed can be stopped, and probably rather easily by the AU with NATO.
It seems like Joe Biden and Sam Brownback are the only candidates serious about this thing.
